Hivel divides total AI tool spend for the period by the number of PRs merged in the same period. The calculation runs per team and per tool, so you can compare unit economics across the org. Fully-loaded engineering cost is configurable separately.

Which AI tools does SURGE Spend currently support?

GitHub Copilot, Cursor, and Claude are the primary supported tools as of this writing. Token-level breakdown for Claude and Cursor is supported via their respective admin APIs. Additional tools are added based on customer demand.

Can SURGE Spend tie AI cost to specific initiatives or Jira projects?
